ABOUT US

A Road to Success

For decades Dick Green has been a trusted name in the farm equipment business. After coming back from Viet Nam in 1971, Dick and his father, Bill, started to sell equipment as Green and Son. Green and Son originally started at the home location on St. Rt. 665 east of London. The two sold used tractors and implements. They also sold new equipment such as, Black Manufacturing, McCurdy, Cobey, HICO, and Raydees.

In the late 1980's Green and Son moved most of their machinery to U.S. 42, north of London. This is where Dick and his two sisters owned and operated Tri-Green Auction. Dick's son, Billy, went to work for Green & Son full time in 1990. Dick's other son, Phil, came on board in 1992. In the spring of 2000, Dick, Billy, and Phil formed Green and Sons, Ltd. As it continued to grow, Green and Sons, Ltd. moved back to the "home place" on St. Rt. 665. There they sold many tractors and implements from a variety of manufacturers.

The dwindling supply of quality used tractors led them to try to acquire a new line of tractors. Kubota was the first and obvious choice. In order to accomodate Kubota (and grandsons, Peyton and Jacob) they needed a larger facility.

With the need for expansion, Green and Sons moved to its current location just off of I-71 on St. Rt. 56 near Mount Sterling. At the open house in June of 2007, Green and Sons still offered new and used equipment as before, plus Kubota tractors came on board. Since Kubota did so well, Green and Sons picked up Ex-Mark zero turns in December of 2007, adding another line of quality new equipment. Currently Green and Sons is a full service dealership that offers a knowledgeable sales, service, and parts staff. Green and Sons is happy with the progress, and so are our customers, like you. The guys are happy to call Mount Sterling their new home and main location of the business.

Green and Sons still has the home location on St. Rt. 665. That lot still has a few pieces of equipment that are for sale. The guys can thank the 665 location for the success of their journey. Green and Sons has a few more employees, but is still family oriented. The Green family will be happy to serve you whether you are buying a new Kubota or are getting parts for a used tractor Dick may have sold you in the past.

Thank you for your business. Our family and staff look forward to working with you!
